On Wednesday, August 2 the West San Antonio Chamber hosted the inaugural State of Energy featuring the nation’s largest gas and electric utility – CPS Energy and an address by its CEO, San Antonio native Paula Gold-Williams. The event took place at the beautiful Marriott Plaza Hotel’s La Villita Ballroom A standing room only crowd of over 300 West Chamber members and partners were in attendance for this inaugural event. The Franklin Energy Group proudly served as the title sponsor for this event.

CEO Gold-Williams was thrilled have the opportunity to address the western sector business community on issues related to the utility, “I am tremendously excited for CPS Energy to be working with one of our outstanding Chamber Partners in providing a forum to talk about innovative solutions we are working on for our customers. Laying the foundation with the West San Antonio Chamber of Commerce for this annual event is something I know will enhance our outreach efforts with the San Antonio business community.”

The event was a huge success and plans are in the works for the 2nd annual event set to take place in August of 2018. The West Chamber now moves furiously towards its next benchmark event – the 2017 State of the Port featuring an address by Port San Antonio CEO Roland Mower.
